Performance and application of Si/Ti<sub>3</sub>C<sub>2</sub>T <sub>x</sub> (MXene) composites in lithium ion battery

Abstract The excellent theoretical specific charge (lithium) storage capacity and rich abundance of silicon (Si), the good mechanical electrical properties titanium based MXene (Ti 3 C 2 T x ) nanosheets promise high performance composites (Si/Ti for negative electrodes (negatrodes) in future lithium ion battery (LIB) applications. In particular, Si/Ti have been preliminarily shown to offer large stable cyclic capacity, rate capability a highly profitable market prospect. To better understand help further improve electrochemical these composites, this review focuses on processes occurring Si/MXene from material perspective. Different cells used measurements, related materials reaction kinetics as negatrode LIB are reviewed. perspective is also discussed practical applications flexible electronic devices automobiles.
